About us
The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust funds research into a range of cancers, including many rarer types that do not receive funding elsewhere. Established in 1985, our aim is to improve lives through research by developing kinder and more effective cancer treatments.
Our research areas cover:
- Gestational Trophoblastic Disease, a rare cancer that develops during or after pregnancy
- Gynaecological cancers, particularly rare ovarian and uterine types
- Lung cancer
- Germ Cell Tumours
- Urological cancers (Testicular, Prostate, Bladder & Renal)
- Melanoma
- Immunotherapy
Our research studies are carried out at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood & Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals in central London.
