About us

The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust (CTRT), funds research into a range of cancers, including some rarer types which do not receive funding elsewhere. Our aim is to improve the lives of patients by finding new, kinder and more effective treatments. CTRT research is carried out at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood and Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals in central London.

Our research areas cover:

  • Gestational Trophoblastic Disease, a rare cancer that develops during or after pregnancy
  • Gynaecological cancers, particularly rare ovarian and uterine types
  • Lung cancer
  • Germ Cell Tumours
  • Urological cancers (Testicular, Prostate, Bladder & Renal)
  • Melanoma
  • Immunotherapy
